Baby Bottle Campaign
At Cherokee Pregnancy Center we provide pregnancy tests, limited ultrasounds, counseling (including post abortion), and baby items to anyone who walks through our doors. We also offer an educational reward program called Earn While you Learn for mothers and fathers. Our hope is that we can share the good news of Jesus with them, be real friends to them, and help them make good decisions about their future and future of their baby. We pray they choose life for their unborn child and life in Christ. Please pick up a bottle today. Fill it with change, bills, or checks and bring it back go church on July 26, 2020. Thank you very much for supporting this ministry through your prayers and your donations.
Food Groups
We need more cooks for our food groups. If you would be interested, please sign up on the yellow sheet. Please see Kaye Cash for more information.
Evening Services
Our Sunday evening services will start back July 12th, 6pm. All of our services will continue to be streamed on Facebook. Adult Discipleship training will begin on July 19th.
Jerusalem Project
The Jerusalem Project will be July 20-23. Please keep all involved in your prayers. The theme this year is “ESSENTIAL” with the thought that God is essential to our everyday life and how we are all essential to Him. Devotions will be done during the lunch break everyday on the jobsites.
Sisters in Christ Meet and Greet Dinner
On July 21st, there will be a “Meet and Greet” catered dinner, 6pm at the FLC honoring Christy Hawthorne. The sign up sheets are on the communion tables so they can get a headcount of who will be attending.
Vacation Bible School – Equipped to Serve will be July 31- August 2. We would love to have your children join us to learn about the ways Gods has equipped each of us to serve Him in our daily lives.
Fall Jubilee
JOY Group is planning a trip to Gaitlinburg, TN to attend the Fall Jubilee, depending on the response. This is an old time gospel celebration for senior adults. September 28-30 (3 days, 2 nights).
Sunday School
July 5th we will start Sunday School. There will be hand sanitizer and masks beside each classroom. TO help with social distancing, we will temporarily move some classes to different rooms. Bedford Fitzgerald’s class will meet in the choir room. Joyce Long’s class will meet in Bedford’s classroom (classroom behind the office). We have also removed some chairs and arranged others to aid in social distancing. Our Sunday School program is vital to our growth of the knowledge of God’s word. If you don’t feel comfortable attending Sunday School yet, we understand, and you can pick up your literature in the church office.
Deacons:  Charlie Patton, Chairman; Bedford Fitzgerald, Vice-Chairman; Scott Bolf, Secretary; David Martin, John McCall, Hugh Moss, Rick Humphries, Rick Ruppe, Michael Sprouse.
